Pile-ups can happen too easily when bunch riding. Avoid honking horns, angry pedestrians and injury by reading our top bunch riding tips.
1. Ride at the pace of the group. 2. Don’t let gaps occur. 3. Learn and use recognised hand signals for turning and stopping. 4. Ride close to the shoulder of the road and in a single file. 5. Stay to the left except to pass. Pass on right side only. 6. Communicate to fellow riders using recognised cycling terms. 7. Don’t pass a rider in front of you without first checking that you don’t have another rider or car in your blind spot (coming behind you on your right). 8. Identify any road hazards ahead and let the other riders know. 9. Avoid riding closely when climbing hills. 10. Thank people after you have passed them! Join our Bunch Etiquette Class!
