The 'Blue Sheelers' wore Victoria Police bicycle patrol uniforms manufactured by Body Torque. The padded shorts came in handy during a long day 'on the slide.' On 13th October 2007, four members of Victoria Police's Geelong Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Unit - the 'Blue Sheelers' - competed in the Alcoa Australian Corporate Cup Head of the River. After three races and a photo finish final, the girls emerged victorious to win the Blood Hyundai & Geelong Mazda Cup. The Blue Sheelers surged across the line to defeat the all male crews from Powercor and WHK Day Neilson. The 'Blue Sheelers' wore Victoria Police bicycle patrol uniforms manufactured by Body Torque.
