5 Towns in 5 Days

ImageWhen Kimon Lycos discovered one of his best mates had leukemia even though Kimon was a complete cycling amateur it got him on his bike undertaking an epic ride for a good cause called 5towns. Body Torque was proud to get behind Kimon’s inspiring effort and offer our corporate support. Each week, on average sixteen South Australians are diagnosed with blood cancer, which literally turn a family’s life upside down.

Treatments take place in capital cities, so regional and rural patients have no choice but to leave their homes, farms, businesses and support networks to relocate to a capital city - often within 24 hours.

“Some of us rode over 15 kilometres, while others only had about five kilometres to ride.Either way, it was great to put a collective effort into raising money for a good cause, and we will continue to look at ways that we can help out other groups in the community in the future,” says Baker IDI workplace coordinator Asher Newton.

Made from a specially sourced light fleece fabric, these new jackets give you that important layer for those fresh spring days where a full thermal jacket might be too much.   The fabric will absorb perspiration taking it to the outer surface so you stay dry no matter how hard you are working. While the stretch factor means the fabric moulds to your body shape allowing full flexibility of movement. With a full zip up front you can wear it as a jacket or a long sleeve jersey while the three pockets in the rear come in handy to store your mobile, gels etc.   Place an ORDER NOW

Best not to arrive in Paris and wanting to exit the city on Bastille Weekend. The small medieval village has all the usual tourist stops – castle, cobblestone streets and a cathedral. But we were not here to just sightsee – we were of course here to ride.
